Mirror Mirror on the wall! Vintage Black Mirror

I had a storage Unit full of furniture. I really did.  I had a garage sale and sold everything except what I wanted to keep for me and mine (daughters)

I have mirrors
so many mirrors

My goal is to get them painted and hung.
I will do it!

but I have a crib, some frames, a lamp etc. etc. to get finished too!

#1 mirror done.
and hung!

It is a heavy old thing, and it was ugly.
The glossy black spray paint gives it a rich gorgeous new look!
I love it!

on to mirror #2

Mirror: Before and After

Heavy old mirror!  I was going to turn it into a chalkboard and changed my mind.  The mirror has beveled edges and is pretty!  I am thinking it would look good in an entry way with a church pew beneath it.

Needed a little work, but not much.

Painted it white!

Distressed it! Standing alone it is just a big old mirror.  In the right setting it will be adorable!

Love this, I have this church pew and I am not doing anything with it.  I move it from wall to wall.  It needs a permanent home, and maybe with a big old mirror above it! I will have to change the knobs to big hooks!

Mirror Before & After

Something exciting is happening around here!
Stay tuned for more details, but I want you to know I am having FUN!
My latest DIY was this. . . .
Heavy old mirror with the standard creme and gold paint, it must of been the thing - Gold!
You get a peek into the mirror and see where I watched Big Brother!
I really really liked the decor of the Big Brother House!
and I liked Hayden
BEFORE
AFTER
do you think it will look good with the above rug. . .

and I was making fun of Gold!

I cleaned the mirror, and taped it good.
I then sprayed it with a grey primer,

Then with KRYLON Gloss Bauhaus Gold spray paint and let it dry,

The next step - I brushed on Ralph Lauren Faux Technique glaze - ebony, and wiped it off until I was happy with how it looked.
This is the first time I have used this, and I LIKE it!

Home Depot can mix this for you. It is 3 parts glaze and 1 part paint.

Mirror

I was running errands!
You know the never ending jobs we have to do,
The bank
The post office
The gas station
The store
etc. . .
I was in a hurry, but decided to stop at a thrift store I had visited only once, and was not to impressed.
Oh I am so happy I did!
I found this mirror and it is big, old & heavy!
$30.00!!!
I can envision it in so many colors and in so many places!
I still am not sure the best way to take a picture of a mirror. . .
So I took it in my bathroom, so something other than me, would be in it!
